Important note about ANZSIC Codes and Host Employers in Pathways. An employer will only ever have a single ANZSIC code, irregardless of how many linked Pathways Industry Groups or Placement Vocations they may have. For example BHP falls within the Mining and Resources ANZSIC Codes, even if a student were completing an business services or automotive or mechanical placement.
From the ABS:
An individual business entity is assigned to an industry based on its predominant activity. The term business entity is used in its widest sense to include any organisation undertaking productive activities, including companies, non-profit organisations, government departments and enterprises.
Adding multiple host employers to Pathways so the same Employer counts towards different ANZSIC codes would distort the reporting of this data.
